(EN) A small painting done for a group show in USA on folktales and legends. I mostly work on bigger size, it was strange to down to 12''x12''.
En filigrane, on retrouve la thématique des violences faites aux femmes et je crois que c'est la dimension qui me plait le plus dans cette histoire. C'est Coppelia en plus revenidcatif.
Sennentuntschi is an alpine folk swiss legend. It's the story of a doll also called Hausali or Sennpoppa used by the sheppherds for their sexual needs when they were in the mountains. One day she becomes alive and want a revenge for all abuses she was the victim.
In the background, we find the thematic of violences against women and this is the dimension of the story I prefer. It's Coppelia but more assertive.
